MUSTANG SUBWOOFER SUB BOX HIFONICS BRUTUS – ALPINE TYPE R
HERE IS A CUSTOM BOX ON MY MUSTANG. HIFONICS BRUTUS BXI12100 1200 WATTS @ 2 ohms ALPINE TYPE R 10″ 500 RMS EACH 1500 MAX NEON RING LIGHTS the box was wrapped on black leather and it has some chrome logos ( pony and mustang letters) oh the head unit is a; KENWOOD PDX503 PLEASE COMMENT!! THANKS!! PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@EnvyMeGkB I would say its about 200 watts overrated with my voltage. but im still overpowering my L5 at 2 ohms and its 1 ohm stable. you want a good amp? forget JL or fosgate. you’ll spend to much money. check out audioque’s website. they make a 2200 watt Under rated amp for about 379 dollars. verses like a grand for JL or fosgate.

@toddajunior you are correct but not with hifonics, if your not talking Alpine, JL, RF-Fosgate or Kicker then it’s overrated. Not saying your setup is wack i’m just letting you know that your system can take another amp, I have 1type R with this same amp, tuned and tested, so I’m telling you 100% that your subs are being underpowered and another amp will bring it to it’s full potential.

@EnvyMeGkB if your voltage is right you’ll get the full power of the amp. its rated at 14.4 volts. not 12.

@camilovilla YOU ARE SERIOUSLY UNDER-POWERING THOSE SUBS. I have the same amp, probably only about 80% of true RMS rating, 900RMS to 80% = 720True RMS. I have 1 Type R 12 on this amp at 2 ohms, and it can still handle another 100+RMS. I know a few people running the same sub on the Kicker 750.1 which is putting out about 800-850 True RMS. Do yourself a favor and get another amp and use 1 for each sub. I can make a video if you’d like.

Your right about the OHMS at those powers but remember if your not talking Alpine, JL, Rockford Fosgate, or Kicker amps then your ratings are over rated. no disrespect, but the brutus puts out 1200w at 1 ohms not 2 ohms. at 2 ohms the brutus puts out 900.1. so ur type r’s are getting about 50w underpower each. but yea, very nice setup, lovin the head unit.
